Outstanding project award
The Outstanding Project Award recognises river projects that demonstrate excellence in enhancement, innovation and holistic management promoting best practice river stewardship.
This award celebrates projects that apply well-informed, collaborative, and adaptive approaches to deliver meaningful outcomes for rivers, their catchments, and the communities connected to them.
Eligible projects may address any aspect of river management, including restoration, flood risk management, erosion control, habitat enhancement, water quality improvement, cultural health, biodiversity, climate resilience, or community-led catchment action.
Projects should demonstrate how science, engineering, practical experience, local knowledge, and mÄtauranga-informed approaches have been integrated to understand river systems and develop effective solutions.
Applicants should be Rivers Group members.
